Revaluation Notice 2016

Seabrook NH – 2016 REVALUATION

The Town of Seabrook NH has contracted with Vision Government Solutions to do a statistical update of values for 2016. Vision will be working with the Assessor’s office to make this project a successful one. The last revaluation was completed in 2011 and current state laws require towns to revalue every five years. A revaluation will determine the current fair market value of every property in town. It equalizes the values of all properties for the purpose of a fair distribution of the tax burden.

The major phases to a municipal update are: Market Analysis, Valuation, Field Review and Informal Hearings. You can visit the Vision Government Solutions website at www.vgsi.com for information that explains the revaluation process, and read answers to frequently asked questions. During the winter months, the data collectors will be visiting homes with building permits and properties that have recently sold to verify the data. The Valuation phase will be starting in February and will be finalized in August. Vision personnel will also be driving through the town reviewing all properties to update the Assessor’s database. An “Assessor’s Office” sign will also be posted in the vehicle window, and their car is registered with the Police as well as the Assessor’s Office at the town hall.

If you have any questions about the revaluation process or need additional information please contact the Assessor’s office at (603) 474-2966.
